Cocoa from the lush Uganda Semuliki Forest region is ceremonial quality and organic in a 500g bag. At Semuliki Forest, small farmers grow cocoa trees organically and with respect for the forest ecosystem. Each cocoa bean is hand-picked, carefully fermented to preserve its full flavor and nutritional values in the best possible way.
Why choose ceremonial quality cocoa mass?
Ceremonial-quality cocoa is traditionally made from the whole cocoa bean, without the fat being separated, which retains its natural cocoa butter and all its valuable nutrients. This makes it particularly smooth and deep in flavor, as well as nutritious.
Usage tips:
Cocoa ceremonies – a strong, heart-opening drink for meditation and rituals
Smoothies – adds energy and earthy flavor to the day
Baking and desserts – fullness for chocolate cakes and raw chocolate
Cocoa drink – combine with milk and spices such as cinnamon, cardamom or cayenne
The power of nutrients:
The ceremonial quality and organic cocoa mass from Semuliki Forest contains magnesium, which supports muscle and nervous system function, and iron and flavonoids, which promote well-being and recovery. Natural compounds in cocoa, such as theobromine, can also increase feelings of well-being and energy in a gentle way.
Supporting nature and farmers
By purchasing Semuliki Forest cocoa you support livelihood of small farmers and biodiversity, as farming takes place in the protective embrace of the forest, without pesticides or artificial fertilizers.
What is ceremonial grade cacao?
Ceremonial quality cocoa mass is the highest quality form of cocoa, which is made from the whole cocoa bean, including its natural cocoa butter. Unlike industrial cocoa, it has not been heavily processed, roasted at high temperatures, or separated to remove fat.
Manufacturing: Hand-picked and carefully fermented beans, ensuring optimal flavor and nutrients.
Intended use: Traditionally used in cocoa ceremonies, where drinking the drink is part of meditation, communal rituals, and spiritual work.
Difference from regular cocoa: Retains all the nutrients of cocoa and its original, deep flavor without additives.
